Annual Christmas Dinner and Recognition Held
Sunday, January 8th, 2017

Tonight we held our annual dinner and recognition ceremony at the firehouse. Kegan Smith took home the top honor of "Firefighter of the Year" for 2016. Kegan puts in a lot of time at the station doing various tasks. He played a vital role this year in nearly every major inspection, including pumps, ladders and hoses. Kegan is always there when you need him. Congratulations Kegan, you exemplify a member of PTFD!

Lt Tracy Rose received his 15 year pin, and Smith, Joe Nail and Matt Harris received their five year service pins. We appreciate your service!

There were three new Candidates sworn in tonight during the ceremony. Taking the oath were Krista Padgett, Tyler Smith and Zane Cook. Welcome aboard and we look forward to see you progress in your service!

Two were recognized for receiving state certifications this year. Padgett received her certificate for completing Mandatory Firefighter and Cadet Tyler Moore received his certification as Emergency Medical Responder.

Lastly Chaplin Paul DelValley distributed firefighter and EMT bibles to members of the department. The bibles were given to the members by the Colfax Christian Church. All of the bibles were personalized for each member. What a great gift this was for our members to receive.

Thanks to all who hand a hand in making the evening a special one. Here's to a safe 2017!
